Three Random Thoughts On Rudolph And Frosty’s Christmas in July

I am a sucker for crossovers.  They just excite me to my core.  Different characters meeting and interacting and just plain having fun.  So when I found out about Rudolph And Frosty’s Christmas in July, which premiered in 1979 on television, I was excited.

The Story

Rudolph and Frosty know each other and are good friends.  And they go on an adventure.  The rest is simply things they do while fighting bad guys.  And it is super cool.

The Voices

Frosty and Rudolph and Santa are all done by the same actors as before.  That is uber great.  Seeing them all together, then hearing them all together, makes my day.

The Beginning

When you first see Rudolph fly down and shout hi to his friend Frosty, it makes the whole movie.  Even if the rest is simply wizards and circus, it doesn’t matter.  Rudolph and Frosty are buds.

Next to Superman and Batman teaming up, or Superman and Spiderman hanging out, or Kirk and Luke, this is the ultimate pairing.  Nuff said.

P.S.  Rudolph And Frosty’s Christmas in July is copyright 2012 to Rankin Bass.

P.P.S.  It is 16 days till Christmas!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
