Three Random Thoughts On A Heartland Christmas

For the past few years CBC television has been showing the family drama Heartland, based on the book series by Lauren Brooke.  In 2010, the show did a Christmas television movie, called appropriately enough, A Heartland Christmas.

The Story

A multi generational family live on a horse farm in rural Alberta.  When Amy, our teen heroine, finds out about some trapped horses some ways away, she heads out with her boyfriend Ty to save the day.  And hopefully all before Christmas.

The Horses

If you love horses, you will love this special.  If you love animals, you will love this special.  If you love a community coming together to save animals, then you will certainly love this special.

The Love Story

Amy and Ty finally get some quiet alone time together, which is something fans have been clamouring for over the years.  On the regular show, these two have been bickering and reconciling even more than Clark and Lana ever did on Smallville.  Sheesh!

A Heartland Christmas has tons of holiday spirit, horses, family conflict, and family togetherness.  All in one neat little movie.

P.S.  A Heartland Christmas is copyright 2012 to CBC.
