Welcome to my celebration of Superman’s 75th Birthday! For the next few months I shall be looking at the Man Of Steel on the screen, and this time it is Superman Two that gets a glance with the x-ray vision.
In the first movie, we get Supes fighting missiles and Lex Luther and robbers on a boat. This time Superman faces the vile, nasty, and terrible trio of the Phantom Zone villains! General Zod, Ursa and Non smash into the White House and take over the U.S. government!
Terence Stamp is great as General Zod. Terence Stamp is wonderful as General Zod. Terence Stamp us amazing as General Zod. All must Kneel Before Zod!
For the romantics amoungst us, including myself, the Lois Lane and Clark Kent romance reaches a fascinating and interesting change. The subtlety of their relationship is examined from various angles, a topic not really touched on again till Superman Four.
After seeing Superman The Movie, you simply have to watch this sequel and gasp with excitement all along the way. Three against one equals thrills!
